Thieves take off with new California
We normally don’t like to bring you somber news, but this story stands out because this may be the first Ferrari California stolen since its release in late 2009. According to police, thieves used screwdrivers to break into a Brooklyn home’s basement where they encountered a 12-year-old girl. Convincing her that they were firemen, she led them to her 17-year-old brother. The crooks then forced the two children and a house maid into a bathroom while they ransacked the house. On their way out, the bandits grabbed the keys to the family’s black 2010 California, which was parked in the driveway. It was unclear if they noticed the family’s other car, a Maserati, that was parked across the street. Police found the car abandoned four miles away.
